UGA Site Licensed Software

The University of Georgia has site licensed a number of software packages primarily for Macintosh or Windows desktop operating systems. These software packages, except where noted below, can be downloaded and used by faculty, staff, and students both on campus and at home.


Due to licensing issues, please do not redistribute the software found on this site.

  • CT Calendar Clients
    • Clients for use with UGA Calendar accounts. Limited access to Calendar accounts is available via any web browser, but these clients add many features.
  • ChemOffice Ultra 10 - Chemistry Software.
  • F-Secure Anti-Virus Software - Excellent antivirus software for Windows Vista, 2000, and XP. Strongly recommended for all PCs.
  • Ghost - A set of utilities for Intel machines that can make and install compressed images of a hard drive. Also useful for duplicating a computer's hard drive.
  • ImageCast - A suite of tools for cloning and managing Intel machines as well as duplicating hard drives. Includes an array of post-cloning management tools.
  • JRB Utilities - A collection of tools for managing various versions of NetWare.  Details about this software can be found at www.jrbsoftware.com.  You will need to login with your MyID to access this software.
  • PCRDist - A utility that synchronizes an Intel workstation's hard disk to a master image on a file server. Makes only needed changes. Version 2.02 is available for Win9x/NT.  Version 1.57 with DOS/Win3.x support is also still available.
  • QMF for Windows - query and reporting tool set for IBM's DB2 relational database management system. Facilitates the development of queries and reports by providing a graphical user interface and desktop printing capabilities.
  • Remote Print Manager (RPM) - TCP/IP (LPD) Print Server
  • SSH 3.2.9, Secure Shell Utilities for Windows - Software which allows you to connect securely to computers on the internet. Supports secure file transfers.
  • SecureFTP - A secure file transfer application that allows you to upload/download files with a remote server. Compatible with MyWeb/MyDrive.
  • Host Explorer for Windows – TN3270 Emulator.
  • Macintosh Software - A software collection for the Macintosh, including documentation and recommendations for many of the packages available at this site.
  • VPN Clients for UGA Enterprise VPN - Installation instructions and client software for connecting to the UGA Enterprise VPN.  The Enterprise VPN allows off-campus users to connect to the campus network as if on campus. Currently for faculty and staff only.
  • WebDrive - WebDrive integrates WebDAV, FTP, or SFTP servers into the Windows desktop by mapping them to a network drive letter. Files are transferred by simply saving them to a drive letter - there's no need to run a separate FTP/SFTP client. (for Windows XP & Vista) (Registration Code)
